There is no charge for entry to tonight's game. IN-SCHOOL EXAM REGISTRATION DATES
If you would like to register for the ASVAB, PSAT and/or the SAT, please return a registration form with a check for the corresponding fee made payable to Slate Valley Unified Union School District (or SVUUSD). Form and payments are due to the FHUMHS School Counseling office on or before the chosen test(s) deadline. Registration forms are available in the School Counseling Office.
PSAT (Digital) In-School Exam - Wednesday, October 11, 2023. (*The PSAT is free to Juniors and $18 for Sophomores. Test registration and payment deadline is September 18, 2023.)
ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) - Tuesday, November 14, 2023. (*This test is free. Test registration deadline is October 17, 2023. )
SAT (Paper & Pencil) In-School Exam - Thursday, October 26, 2023(*The cost is $60.00. Test registration and payment deadline is October 20, 2023.)

Dear FHUMHS Families,
The safety and well-being of our students and staff is always our top priority, therefore I felt it pertinent to inform you about a safety concern addressed this morning. It came to our attention this morning, Thursday, September 7th after students returned from a pre-planned relocation drill, that we had a student in possession of a loaded long-gun on school property. This reported incident had no connection to the planned drill. The long-gun was reported to be in a student’s vehicle. Upon learning this we immediately notified law enforcement, who responded quickly to the situation, and we are in contact with the student’s family. There is no known threat to students or staff at this time. We are taking this incident very seriously. Per our school policy, weapons of any kind are not allowed on school property. If you ever learn of any potential safety concerns, please let us know. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.

FHUMHS ran a successful fire drill and Evacuation to our off-site rally point. The students did an excellent job! We made sure to supply water during the walk and we have plenty of bottled water at school. Thank you for your support!

As of this moment, Fair Haven Grade School and Fair Haven Union Middle & High School will be open tomorrow, September 1st, unless something new unfolds overnight. Water has been restored to the Town. However, we will be under a boil water advisory. This means staff and students cannot drink the water in the school. We will have bottled water on hand if needed. Breakfast and lunch will be made off site and transported to FHGS and FHUMHS. It will be a brown bagged breakfast and lunch.
Here's a brief update on the water situation as it relates to the opening of FHGS and FHUMHS tomorrow. Currently, we do not have water in the Town of Fair Haven. The Town fixed the original break but another occurred shortly after. The Town Manager will call later this evening with another update. We do not want to close school for a second day, so the decision will be pushed off as long as possible. A decision will be made before 8:00 PM tonight. If there is school tomorrow, there will be a boil water advisory, meaning staff and students cannot drink the water in the school. Bottled water will be on hand if needed. Staff and students are encouraged to bring their own. Breakfast and lunch will be made off site and transported to FHGS and FHUMHS. It will be a bagged breakfast and lunch.
Introducing the Slate Valley Mascots! This year we will have various events where our mascots compete against each other, called Slate Valley Mascot Madness. On opening day in-service for Faculty and Staff, the mascots competed in a quick Hula Hoop Race, with Blue from Benson winning by quite a substantial margin. Stay tuned for more upcoming events!
