Snowflake Concert!
We are currently experiencing a power outage at Castleton Village School. All children are safe and sound. Parents/guardians who need to reach Castleton Village School are asked to call Castleton Elementary School at 802-468-5624.
Here are a few shots from the Snowflake concert last week. It was an awesome concert!
All after school activities districtwide have been cancelled for today (12/17) due to the road conditions and predicted snow accumulations as the day goes on. This includes all practices and games.
More scenes from Hour of Code at CES!
Hour of Code started as a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify "code", to show that anybody can learn the basics, and to broaden participation in the field of computer science.
It has since become a worldwide effort to celebrate computer science, starting with 1-hour coding activities but expanding to all sorts of community efforts.
Ask a second grader about the Daily Five. One of our Daily Five is to read quietly to self. Check out these second graders doing just that!
Students at CES and CVS are completing the Hour of Code. This is a worldwide attempt to familiarize students (Grades K-12) with coding.
Square1art orders are in! You can pick them up in the main office at CES. Any orders not picked up this week will be sent home with students next week. Thank you for your support!
Congratulations to three Castleton students who are members of the Rutland Area Robotics team and participated in the first Lego League VT State Championships held at Norwich University last weekend. These three students worked for hours as a team and competed with 26 VT teams! Wow! Congrats to Asher O., Chris M. and Cayden B. Way to go!
