Good Afternoon, Slater Nation!
With the fall high school sports regular seasons at an end, we wanted to share how to continue watching our student-athletes during the postseason. While we regularly stream sporting events on our YouTube channel for regular season home games on LaPlaca Field, all Slater athletic’s home playoff games are required to stream exclusively to the NFHS Network (NFHS) in order to comply with a Vermont Principals’ Association (VPA) directive. The VPA has an agreement in place with NFHS that postseason games are live-streamed exclusively via the NFHS platform. As a result, to find any home postseason games that we live stream go to our dedicated NFHS page found at the link below. Please note, there is a subscription fee to access the NFHS service.

These public engagement sessions will help the Agency develop its strategic plan and ensure that its work is supporting the educational priorities of communities across Vermont. Following a series of data reports and regional planning sessions with more than 250 education leaders, the Agency is eager to expand these conversations to include educators, parents, students, and community members across the state. The Agency encourages broad participation and welcomes input from all Vermonters, including students, families, and community partners - students are integral to these conversations and are encouraged to attend.

Congratulations to Avery Audet!
Avery was unanimously crowned Junior Classic Equitation World Champion at the prestigious Morgan Grand National and World Championship Horse Show in Oklahoma City! Riding the exceptional Dragonsmeade Sriracha under the direction of Fairview Stable, LLC. Avery's performance was nothing short of spectacular.
In addition to this incredible victory, she also secured an impressive 3rd place in the UPHA (United Professional Horse Association) Junior Challenge Cup Finals.
What an outstanding achievement, Avery! Slater Nation is beyond proud to have such a talented champion among us!

Today's JV Football game scheduled for 4 pm at Woodstock has been postponed and will not be rescheduled.
Varsity Boy's Soccer vs Mt Anthony is still scheduled for 5 pm today on LaPlaca Field. Dress warm!

As part of their ongoing exploration of emotions and self-expression, school librarian Mrs. Rampone read to her classes a new release titled "When Ayden Paints the Sky". In the story, the main character expresses her emotions through art, painting the sky to reflect her feelings. After the reading, students created their own sky paintings to convey emotions and shared the meanings behind them. Fun fact: the author of "When Ayden Paints the Sky" is the niece of our district’s communications coordinator, Mrs. Cacciatore!

Yesterday, even the sky was cheering on our JV boys soccer team! 🌈⚽️
