Slate Valley Summer Happenings: History Comes Alive!
FHUHS Social Studies teacher, Mrs. Beth Nicholson, and her son, Brodie, have been exploring our local Revolutionary War sites this summer. Brodie's passion for the era ignited as they immersed themselves in the history of Fort Ticonderoga, the thrilling Hubbardton battle reenactment, and the strategic location of Mount Independence.
Slate Valley Summer Happenings: Submitted by FHUMHS Special Education Teacher, Jennifer Westebbe. “This summer I discovered an amazing Instagram account dedicated to disability awareness! Plus I have been diving deep into this topic by reading two newly discovered books. I also chased a sunrise on the Maine coast and indulged in fresh seafood. To brighten up my weeks, I joined Blume Vermont, a community supported agricultural market to receive 15 weeks of gorgeous, locally-grown flowers! Supporting women-owned businesses and filling my home with beauty—it's a win-win!”
Slate Valley Summer Happenings: The individual responsible for the meticulous care of the flower pots near the FHUMHS side entrance has been identified. Ms. Janna Webb was captured on camera performing this kind act daily during her walks. We extend our sincere gratitude for her dedication to our campus environment.
